Next Level Habits

Trying to get your day-to-day right?

Grounding yourself in healthy foundational habits is a place to start.

  • Meditation

    Meditation transformed my life.

    Full stop.

It can change your life as well - our experts will get into the wide-ranging benefits of the practice - and contrary to some popular misconceptions, learning to meditate can be both fun and easy! (side note: I went with the cover of Bliss More because every image I found for “meditation” featured a person sitting cross-legged…and that part is optional…!)

On top of all the other benefits, once you get into the practice, you may find yourself SAVING time throughout the day as your meditation practice makes you more efficient, more organized…all sorts of good things!

  • Movement

You could go with “Exercise” here.

    I prefer not to.

Focused exercise is a cornerstone of my lifestyle. I try to get in some sort of workout - strength, pliability, endurance, interval, or some combination - every day.

But I also think it unwise to focus on workouts at the exclusion of how - and how much - we move the rest of the day.

Human beings were meant to move - and there’s all sorts of ways to do it. Let’s get into ways to keep our bodies functioning; after all, it’s a lot harder to get anything done in this dimension without one!

  • Nutrition

Human beings require certain nutrients; for instance, if you’ve heard anything about scurvy, you know that Vitamin C deficiency goes to some very bad places!

Acute deficiencies are the most alarming reminder, but much like our hydration, we want to optimize nutrition so our bodies have what they need to to build the next version of our selves.

Nutrition is both complicated and uncomplicated - I’d argue that once you understand some underlying principles (and acquire some very basic cooking skills), it’s quite manageable - but there is also a lot of less-than-optimal information out there.

That said, you have to judge for yourself whether these approaches seem reasonable, but the doctors and other nutrition experts I’ve selected tend to embrace a range of eating habits and avoid some of the dogmatic, one-size fits all views out there.
